Where has the time gone?

I've had writer's block. Sorry, peeps. Well, Christmas has come and gone. Love that tree thing with all the lights and that dude named "Tanta." Really cool. He brings gifts, people! Be good this year.

New Year's has come and gone, too. Instead of ringing it in, I hung it up and slept through all the fuss. So did my parents. Did I tell you the Leslie household is a cool and happening place?

I've captured some of my exploits over the past two months. I hope the end of your 2008 was as good as mine. Cheers!

Bumps and a Pump-kin

Hidee ho, all. I'm back. I've had a busy October so far. It started off with my parents leaving me to go on vacation. Nice. Thanks. Actually, I had a blast with my Nana and Grandpa. Parents, feel free to go again. I get more ice cream that way.

I also got my first documented and diagnosed illness -- roseola. I should stop licking the playground equipment. I deal with four days of a 102-degree fever followed by a rash and my mom takes photos. Doesn't seem like a fair deal to me.

Halloween is almost here, so to get everyone in the spirit, I did my best posing in the local pumpkin patch. Enjoy...and BOO!

Birfday!

I just had my first birthday, and it was awesome. By awesome, I mean I had cake for the first time. Oh holy diaper rash, it was DELICIOUS!

Just got back from a mountain vacay with the fam. Here are my holiday pics. Enjoy while I go relax and recover.

Babble

Yesterday was my birthday, sort of. I'm 11 months old now, which means I have more hair and do things like stand. Quite novel, I know. I'm also becoming more of a motor mouth. My favorite words -- "but-a-puh," "bubba," and "duck-duck." Translation: "butterfly," "bubbles," and "quack-quack."

Bideos!

Yep, bideos. That's how my cousin Elijah would say it when he was ittle bittle. So, this first one is me in the bathtub. I'm all of 9 1/2 months and being attacked by squirting dinosaurs. It was just ludicrous...really.

This next one is me in New York sitting up for the second time in my life. My mom sounds like a goon, but she was very excited for me.

Metro Baby

Nine months and already I'm cruisin' about in the Big Apple. Who needs a taxi when you have Grandpa! Central Park was nice, but I prefer looking at my books.

Yum! Why haven't you fed this to me earlier?

Love me some biscuits. More, please.

And to keep with the food theme...

Werd...

Yup, I'm starting to talk...a lot. And, it all makes sense to me, but my parents say things like "ba," "ga," and "da" back to me. Ugh, they just don't understand. Here some pics capturing my seven-month-old mug.

Busy tilting

No -- not elbow tilting, although I do appreciate doing a few of those with some nice warm milk. Actually, I am a fan of the left-side head tilt. In fact, it's my favorite pose. Here are a few pics capturing my talent. I received posing tips from Tyra Banks.

Live Action Mars

It's time for a couple videos. First, let's start off with something lighthearted: one of Momma playing peek-a-boo and tug-of-war with me.

Now for something a little more serious. Lately there have been serious attempts to discredit my blog authorship. I have heard the rumors--that my parents are the ones who are really behind this--so I now am forced to put those rumors to rest. The following is irrefutable video evidence of my key-mashing capabilities.

New Year...New Me

I'm changing so much that it's hard for you to keep up...I know. I've already lost my hair and grown it back (somewhat). I'm able to roll from my tummy onto my back. It makes me yak, but I keep doing it. I won't stop talking either. Frustrating thing that my parents don't speak my language. I also love sleep. Nothing better than snuggling up in my crib for a snooze. Life is good...

Cheers,
Mars

P.S. Pardon the snout pic. My mom loves to zoom in close and make me look all distorted.

(Here I am with my doppleganger daddy.)

(My t-shirt says, "I'm new to earth." I certainly look it in this photo. I, of course, appreciate the martian humor.)

(I'm such a poser.)

(This is my buddy, Cruz. He is three and a half months old to my five and is as big as me. It goes without saying that he is going to kick my bo-bo when we get older.)

(Last pic...I'm in the ZONE.)
